As part of our three tier strategy in addressing global warming, the Archdiocesan Global Warming Action Team will be advocating for wise environmental and energy public policy.  For the 2007 Minnesota legislative sessions, we will be supporting a package of proposals under "Clean Energy Minnesota".  We encourage team members to write letters to their elected legislators, attend hearings on relevant bill proposals, and to promote and attend "Protect Our Great Outdoors - Citizens' Day on the Hill" on February 21, 2007.  We will inform the team of current developments and action needed during the legislative sessions via electronic action alerts.  As the team is informed, they are encouraged to extend outreach within their parish and communities helping to reach a greater population for advocacy.
